Dementia Care Facilities
Both of the Hart Heritage locations are licensed dementia care facilities serving Harford County and northern Baltimore County. Our warm, welcoming homes provide round the clock care and supervision in a safe environment.
According to the Geriatric Mental Health Foundation, an estimated four million Americans currently suffer from Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) or a related form of dementia. Nearly 10 percent of all people over age 65 and up to 50 percent of those over age 85 are thought to have AD or another form of dementia.
Our caring and knowledgeable staff provides individualized care for residents with at all stages. We care for those with emerging symptoms to those with advanced cases. We also provide short-term respite care for caregivers who just need a break from what can be an overwhelming situation.
Alzheimer’s Care
We provide quality Alzheimer’s care. Did you know that Alzheimer’s Disease is the most common form of dementia in older people? Many families care for a relative with Alzheimer’s at home for as long as they can. When the time comes when that is no longer a good option, Hart Heritage is ready to help.
Parkinson’s Disease
Parkinson’s disease is an impairment in reasoning and thinking that eventually affects many people with Parkinson’s disease. In addition to helping residents with the physical effects of Parkinson’s, we are well trained to help them with the mental aspects as well.
We provide specialized care for residents with Lewy Body dementia, vascular dementia and all other types of dementia as well.
“Thank you ALL, and I mean ALL for being so loving and supportive to my mom and me.
You all hold a special place in my heart for helping us move through this last phase of mom’s journey through life . . . Hugs!”
Sincere thanks,
